Health Promotion Competencies
Ngā Kaiakatanga Hauora mō Aotearoa Health Promotion Competencies for Aotearoa New Zealand (2011)
Following extensive review and consultation the new (2011) health promotion competencies are now ready for use.
These competencies reflect the unique context of health promotion practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. They recognise our special relationship with Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, value the diversity of all people and acknowledge our place in the global health promotion community.
These competencies also feature
- a description of the knowledge base that underpins all the competency clusters
- a graphic representation of how it all fits
- a glossary of health promotion terms as applied in Aotearoa and we hope you will find this useful.
